The neonate period refers to the first two weeks of a puppy’s life. During the neonate period, a dog is incapable of learning anything by experience. The neonate period is not the time to train your puppy because its motor skills and senses are still underdeveloped.

A puppy is limited in its concentration at a particular point in time and may be able to take in only one command. As the puppy grows up, its ability to learn and adapt to more than one command increases. Training your dog is actually a step by step process that requires a great deal of patience.

Part of training your dog is to let it know when it has done something wrong. You use consistent words to let your dog know when it was blundered such as ‘try again’ or oh-oh. Make sure that your dog knows when it has done right or wrong.

Sometimes, keeping your dog on a leash is the best form of dog training. Some dogs are overly excited and tend to hurt people in a fit to excitement unless they are trained. Training your dog through the leash has proved quite effective for many dog owners.

The training sessions for your dog must be reliably consistent if you are to make any headway in training it successfully. Make sure that your dog knows when its training period is coming up so that it can get ready for it. Each training session should have a goal to help make it fun for you and your dog.

Circus dogs are those that are trained specially for the purpose of entertainment. Circus dogs are trained to do a lot of amazing things such as jump hoops or roll balls. You can teach your own dog a trick or two to catch fun and entertain your friends.

Taking care of a dog involves giving it love, care, food…and training. Without training, a dog is liable not to recognize its limits and may actually end up taking you for granted. A safe and secure environment for your dog will ensure that it is trained successfully.

Training your dog makes it fit perfectly as a member of the family. A well mannered dog can be the source of joy to the owner and a source of envy to the owner of a misbehaving dog. With a trained dog, you will definitely be happier.
